Join us these school holidays for a hands-on creative experience inspired by the Museum’s collection of taonga jewellery.
Begin with a guided tour of the Museum, discovering the stories, craftsmanship and cultural significance behind treasured jewellery pieces in the collection. Then it’s time to get creative! Using polymer clay, you’ll design and make your own jewellery keepsake to take home.
You can choose to cook your finished piece onsite and collect it the following day, or take it home with instructions for cooking it yourself.
Suitable for children of all ages. Parents and caregivers’ attendance is essential. We warmly encourage adults to get involved and create alongside their children.
Come along, explore the collection and make something of your own!
Spaces are limited so bookings are essential. Participation is by koha.
Meet in the Museum Atrium.
