Two Weeks Photographing in the Kruger National Park
Gary McClintock FPSNZ, Whanganui
In May 2025, Gary joined a small-group photographic safari to the Kruger National Park, South Africa. The tour, designed exclusively for photographers, was aimed at providing opportunities and technical advice on when best to photograph wildlife, with a focus on timing and positioning to create dramatic photos. In this presentation he will show some of his photographs from that trip and discuss what he learnt about improving his chances of getting great images.
Nature Talks is a series of bi-monthly talks offered by three local environmental groups—Birds New Zealand (Whanganui Region), the Whanganui branch of Forest & Bird, and the Wanganui Botanical Group—in conjunction with the Whanganui Regional Museum. The topics all relate to New Zealand’s environment, natural history and conservation. The talks are typically held on the third Tuesday of every second month.
Entrance is free, although to help cover costs, a koha is always appreciated from those who can afford it.
