Discover live music in the heart of Whanganui Regional Museum with the inaugural Saturday Sounds session.

Held in the Museum’s Atrium, this new Saturday afternoon series celebrates talented local and visiting musicians across a diverse range of styles, creating a relaxed live music experience in the unique surroundings of the Museum.

Our first session features four local musicians: Lisa Gooch, Sam Walters and Owen Hugh will perform acoustic guitar sets, sharing original songs and fresh interpretations from the indie music scene. Denis Troufleau will perform works by French composer Yann Tiersen on the Steinway grand piano.

Whether you’re discovering a new artist, enjoying live music with friends, or simply looking for a relaxing outing, Saturday Sounds is the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Admission is free, no booking is required, koha is always appreciated. All welcome.
