This short documentary explores the fascinating life of Joseph Divis; gold miner, photographer, and world traveller.

A street photographer ahead of his time, Joseph Divis pioneered techniques to capture images of ordinary people and their working lives. His work is the subject of Cast in LightLife in a Mining Town, the National Library exhibition currently on display at Whanganui Regional Museum.

Jos is a journey of discovery following a historian, a photographer and a museum curator all working to give Joseph Divis the recognition he deserves.

46 minutes. All audiences. No need to book. Admission by koha.
