Kaiwhakaako Mātauranga/Museum Educator
We are looking for an experienced educator to join our team as Kaiwhakaako Mātauranga/Museum Educator. The successful candidate will have experience designing and delivering education programmes in either a classroom or GLAM sector environment. This role will engage ākonga from the region with collections and exhibitions through participatory education experiences.
Whanganui is a great town with a huge focus on arts, culture and the outdoors. The lifestyle is fantastic, and our community is very supportive. You will work alongside the museum’s Kaiwhakaako Māori, with your focus being our natural history and social history collections. As well as experience teaching, a bachelor’s degree in either science or humanities subjects would be an advantage.
This role is listed as a full time role, however, we are willing be flexible for the right candidate. Please note some weekend work may be required.
